About compounded testosterone
Compounded testosterone is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient based on a valid prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Your clinician will discuss the potential risks, benefits, and available alternatives before prescribing. Treatment and dosing are individualized; results vary.

Getting Started and Payment Timing<
Book your consultation — $300
A $100 deposit reserves your visit and counts toward the $300 consultation fee. The remaining $200 is due at your visit. After you book, we'll email links to set up your patient portal account and complete your intake forms.
Complete any recommended labs
Labs are separate from your consultation fee. The cash price for the core lab panel is $125. If we recommend additional tests, we'll confirm the cash price before testing. If your lab bills your insurance, your cost will depend on your coverage. We ask that your labs be drawn before your scheduled consultation appointment.

At your consultation, you and Vanessa will discuss your options and decide next steps.
Choose your ongoing care
Balance Journey Membership is optional. If you enroll, your first payment is due when your membership begins: $150 for Care Only or $200 for Testosterone Included. Payments continue monthly thereafter. The $300 consultation fee is separate.
You can also prepay for six months of ongoing care when your membership begins: $810 for Care Only or $1,080 for Testosterone included, saving 10% on ongoing care. The Testosterone included option covers your eligigible prescribed initial testosterone supply, refills according to your treatment plan, and standard shipping during your membership.
A Few Important Details
The $300 consultation fee is separate from ongoing membership fees. Initial and follow-up labs are billed separately. Follow-up visits are scheduled according to your treatment plan and personal needs.
Memberships renew monthly until cancellation takes effect. Please provide 30 days’ notice to cancel ongoing membership. For prepaid care, cancellation and refund terms are explained in our Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Your Prescription Options
You pay separately for medications unless your Balance Journey membership includes them.
Commercial pharmacies:
When prescribed, most medications can be filled through a commercial pharmacy. Patients pay that pharmacy using available insurance benefits or cash pricing. Balance’s professional care remains cash-pay.
Compounded medications:
When appropriate, a prescription may be sent to a compounding pharmacy.
Labs & Insurance
Explore your lab testing options with transparent pricing, including cash-pay labs through Balance or insurance-billed.
Initial Core Labs
Initial core testing is available for $125 cash pay, or your laboratory may bill your insurance. Your cash-pay price is confirmed before testing.
Insurance-billed laboratory option
Participating laboratories may be able to bill your insurance. Coverage is not guaranteed, and deductibles, coinsurance and noncovered testing may apply.
Payment, Cancellations & Your Estimate
Cancellations & Refunds
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your initial assessment. Completed assessments are nonrefundable. Ongoing-care cancellation and any refund of unused prepaid care are governed by our Financial, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Please review the full terms before payment.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you are uninsured or are not using insurance to pay for your care, you have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges when you request one or schedule qualifying care. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there a maintenance option after six months?
At your six-month review, you and Vanessa will discuss how you’re feeling and how often you need follow-up. If your treatment is stateless and you need less frequent visits, the Balance Journey Maintenance option may be a good fit. You’ll review what’s included and what it costs before deciding to continue.
Can I book a consultation without joining a membership?
Yes. Your 60-minute virtual consultation is a standalone visit. A $100 deposit reserves your appointment and counts toward the $300 consultation fee. The remaining $200 is due at your visit. You and Vanessa can decide together whether ongoing care is right for you.
What is the difference between the two Balance Journey memberships?
Both include follow-up visits, prescription management, and support from Vanessa through your patient portal. With Care Only ($150/month), you pay the pharmacy separately for medication. With Testosterone Included ($200/month), your first supply of eligible compounded testosterone, refills according to your care plan, and standard shipping are included. Enrollment does not guarantee a prescription. Labs are billed separately with either option.
